FNP is please to announce that we have partnered with Whistle & Keg Cleveland in the heart of Cleveland 818 Huron Road East. We will be bringing professional comedians from around the country the last Friday of every month. April's COMEDY ON TAP is on Friday April 26 from 9 - 11 pm and features some very funny comics. Headliner Ray Danger Hensley was born and bred in Indianapolis, IN, Ray is one of the up-and-coming comics to look out for in Indy. While on stage, Ray exudes confidence while seemingly relatable to audience. His collection of work stories and world observations, combined with his high-pitch squeals and theatrics, make great entertainment for a wide variety of audience members. His act can often be compared to a deliciously juicy Thanksgiving Dinner that you just can’t get enough of! Ray has built an impressive list of credentials. He has performed all over the Midwest, became a regular at Joker’s Comedy Club and Wiley's Comedy Joint, has worked with some of the biggest names in comedy, and was a finalist in the World Series of Comedy Competition. Tony Foxworthy is an Indianapolis based comic with a great mustache and mediocre face. He travels the country performing his brand of comedy and was chosen as a featured performer at the 2018 Cape Fear Comedy Festival as well as the Main Event of the 2018 World Series of Comedy. His sense of humor was forged years ago as a defense mechanism for growing up ginger. On-stage Tony is a goofy storyteller who stays rooted in his experiences as a single dad and time traveling watch repairman. Chris Ketler (aka The Bitter Dude) who draws from a topsy-turvy life with humor that is easy to relate to and, in the process, funny as hell. Although Ketler is the first to say that his life isn’t quite so bitter nowadays, thanks to the fact that in little more than three years, he’s created a name for himself with recent appearances throughout Ohio, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, New York City and Orlando. In addition to his work as a comedian and comedy producer, Ketler is an actor, who stars in the upcoming television series, “Below Average Joe.” He also recently wrapped production on Amazon Prime’s crime family drama, “Mafia Ties.” Ketler can also be seen in major films like “White Boy Rick,” starring Mathew McConaughey, “Embrace The Twilight,” and the newly-released “Anhedonia,” starring The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney. Special guest tonight is Daniel Brady, a simple American man born and raised in Erie, PA. Daniels's a steak and potatoes type guy, who began doing stand up comedy after serving 8 years in the United States Marine Corps. Daniel also has a Biweekly open mic in Erie, PA, and has opened for Randy's Cheeseburger. Picnic from Trailer Park Boys. When asked what Erie, PA known for Daniel responded "Uhhhhh mostly the pizza bomber, Nothing good happens here haha" Hosting the evening’s antics is the Master of Ceremonies, the voice of Akron at WNIR popular radio guru, Tom Cullison, the man with the golden voice (and hair). Singer/songwriter Alexis Antes has teamed up with platinum record producer/engineer Jim Wirt (Fiona Apple, Brian Setzer, Incubus, Hoobastank) and Superior Sound Recording Studios for her new recording project titled "13". Alexis was a founding member of local ‘90s band Odd Girl Out, and continued on as a solo artist, releasing two full-length recordings of her original work. The highly anticipated 13 will be Alexis’ third solo album and her first release in 14 years. Artist biography: Alexis Antes is a well-established name in the Ohio Region. Many years of professional performing, touring and record making have given her a great platform to jump from. Add that with some of the renowned artists she has performed with; Sarah McLachlan, Paula Cole, Sheryl Crow, James Taylor, Melissa Etheridge, Jewel, Joan Armatrading, and Dan Fogelberg, and you've got a spring board to boot. Alexis has been absorbing and performing music all her life. An environment of creativity surrounded her as she grew up with her mother, Bobbie Antes, an accomplished singer/songwriter and musician. Her father, Scott Antes, was also influential as a songwriter and musical instrument builder. The two owned and operated a coffeehouse in Lakewood, Ohio, in the late ‘70s and this provided the perfect environment for Alexis to soak up all that the local Cleveland folk talent had to offer. By the age of twelve, Alexis had taught herself to play the guitar. At eighteen, she was the youngest founding member of the popular and influential Cleveland-based folk-pop group, Odd Girl Out. After OGO split, Alexis found her own voice and a new path as a writer and performer of her own songs. It is the personal nature of Alexis’ songs on her debut recording, Stronger, and her follow-up release, All Come Down that strikes a chord with her fans. Cleveland’s Scene Magazine said of her work, “Listeners are treated to a lone voice in the wilderness singing introspective, soul-searching ballads about disillusionment, heartache and growth — songs that would not be out of place on a disc by Paula Cole”. The music, the mood, the strength and the sensitivity of Alexis Antes shows us a blossoming artist firmly in control of her own destiny, comfortable in the spotlight at center stage and far from finished with writing and evolving. In fact, her new material is yet a new chapter, and a fresh look at change, being put to music. A new CD titled “13” is in the works for a July 13, 2017 release.

Gritty and honest, yet always soulful one might think this band hails from a place much further south than the suburbs of northwest Pittsburgh. Dan Bubien & the Delta Struts are constantly refining and redefining their craft using a wide palette of tones and textures, sounds and styles, that express a heart-felt love of all things music. Rooted in soul, and versed in a style that harkens back to the days of a classic STAX recording, Dan Bubien and The Delta Struts consistently break new ground with an eclectic spin on the collective music they make. Dan’s soulful vocals and guitar are backed by the stellar guitar playing of Shawn Mazzei and anchored by rhythm section veterans Mark Pollera (Drums) and Christian Caputo (Bass) The Delta Struts chart a course that begins and ends with the music always being the first priority. Dan Bubien & the Delta Struts put a contemporary spin on soulful roots music. Set to release "Thieves & Yesterdays" on February 1st, 2019, their first full length studio album together and Dan's third in the past five years.
Phillips found himself as a session player in a recording studio for the first time at the age of 16. Shortly thereafter, his composition and arranging skills piqued the interests of record label executives who saw the talented and handsome young prodigy as a possible candidate for investment. Music industry politics and pressures pushed Phillips and his music out on the road where live performance earned him his reputation as a versatile and skillful player, opening for the likes of other popular jazz performers like Mose Allison and crossing backstage circles with artists like Richie Havens and Livingston Taylor. Idris has toured with Cat Stevens, played with Leon Russell, Phil Collins, and members of James Taylor’s band. Katie O'Neill is a talented young violinist, performing professionally as a member as the Youngstown Symphonic Orchestra as well as several touring groups around NE Ohio. This talented duo is going to make your Saturday night at the Whistle & Keg one you won't forget!
